Terms of Use

Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Duenut mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Important: Duenut is a personal reminder tool. It is not a banking, financial, tax, or legal product, and it does not process or advise on actual payments. Always verify your due dates and make payments through your bank.

1. The service

Duenut helps you keep track of your credit card statement closing dates and payment due dates, send reminders, and mark payments as paid. The App may link to your issuing bank's own app as a convenience; it does not process transactions, move money, or access your bank accounts.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the App.
You are responsible for safeguarding your device and any account used to access iCloud sync.
You are responsible for the information you enter into the App and for keeping it accurate.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Store sensitive information such as full card numbers, CVVs, PINs, passwords, or bank credentials in the App's notes or other free-text fields.
Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by law.
Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or related systems.
Resell, rent, or sublicense the App or any of its features.

5. Premium subscriptions and in-app purchases

Duenut offers optional paid features ("Premium") through in-app purchases and/or auto-renewing subscriptions sold by Apple through the App Store.

Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at the price displayed at purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
Manage or cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in the App Store account settings on your device.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple according to its policies. We do not process refunds directly for App Store purchases.
Restore purchases. If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use "Restore Purchases" from Settings to reactivate your subscription.
Changes. We may change the features, price, or availability of Premium. Any price changes will be communicated as required by Apple before they take effect.

6. Notifications

The App may send you local and push notifications. You can enable, disable, or customize them at any time from the App's Settings screen or the iOS Settings app. We cannot guarantee that notifications will always be delivered on time, and you should not rely solely on Duenut to make payments on time.

7. Third-party services and bank apps

The App may open third-party bank apps using URL schemes provided by iOS. Your use of those apps is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or behavior of third-party apps or services.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Duenut and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. No rights are granted except as expressly set out in these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered. Duenut is not a substitute for financial advice or for your bank's own statements and notices.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Duenut, its developer, officers, employees, agents, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the App — including any missed payments, late fees, interest charges, or impacts on your credit score. Our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 10.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Duenut and its developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or any features (including Premium) if you violate these Terms or if required by law. The sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and the developer of Duenut, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. In case of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the Apple EULA will prevail with respect to the matters it governs.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer laws provide otherwise.
